Entering the Awards

How much does it cost to enter?
It costs £95+vat to enter a single product; if you have launched more than one great product in the last year or are a member of BHETA or GIMA, then we will offer a discount for multiple entries. Please follow the entry process as normal and contact Joanne Bamber for further details on 07970 860377.

If you are a retailer, it is free of charge to enter.

How do I enter a product?

Where do I send my product sample?
Once you have submitted your entry form you will be sent details on where to send your product. If you have not received this information within 48 hours of submission please contact Joanne Bamber on 7970 860377.

How many products can I enter?
You can enter as many products as you like providing they meet the launch date criteria. Be sure to fill out a separate entry form for each product.

Do I get any discount for entering more than one product?
If you have 3 or more products to enter, we are happy to reduce the rate to £80+VAT per product. Contact Joanne Bamber for details on 07970 860377.

What is the product entry deadline?
The product entry deadline is Friday, December 15, 2017. Upon entry you will be given details of where to send your product. Your product sample will not be required until January 2018.

What happens to my product after judging?
You can choose to donate your product to a charity sale. All proceeds will be donated to the industry charity – The Rainy Day Trust. If you would prefer to have your product returned you can notify us of this on your entry form.

My product sample is quite large, is this ok to send?
We welcome entries of all shapes and sizes – remember though, if you would prefer to not donate your product to the chosen charity sale you will need to cover the cost of return postage. If you have any specific concerns regarding the delivery of your product please contact Joanne Bamber on 07970 860377.

When will I know if I have made it onto the shortlist?
Judging will take place in February 2018 and we will announce the shortlist via the magazine in March 2018. We will notify shortlisted retailers and suppliers prior to this official announcement.

Attending the Awards

What is the dress code for The DIY Week Awards?
The dress code for the awards luncheon is lounge suits.

I have a special dietary requirement, can this be catered for?
Of course. Before the awards we will ask for your guest names, there will be an option for you to enter your dietary requirements as part of this process. If you change guests after submitting this information, please contact Keith Shilson at kshilson@datateam.co.uk as soon as possible.

What time do the awards start?
The drinks reception will begin at 12:00pm and call for lunch at 1:45pm. We expect the awards ceremony to end around 4:30pm.
